Tucked behind Clerkenwell's famed Myddelton Square lies this wonderfully quiet Mews. We divided a poorly utilised under-stairs storage closet - installed a deceptively spacious guest washroom along with a separate pocket utilities closet away from the kitchen.
We sourced matching matt porcelain tiles to match with the existing Marca Corona tiles throughout.
Soundproofing was installed between the two bedrooms and we reinforced the staircase leading up to the open plan entertainment living area.
Design & Build
On the second level, we replaced the 2013 kitchen with highly reliable and robust German supplier Leicht. Almost every cabinet was designed bespoke to situate the hob dead-centre. It is flanked on both sides by tall units housing integrated German appliances. Hidden away, a clever boiler housing unit serves to maximise storage but can be popped out in one piece for servicing. Storage was maximised without compromise to aesthetic. A great example of functional minimalism.
